I'd like to be in Last of the Mohicans, so that Daniel Day-Lewis could kiss me! Woohoo! LOL
(okay, I really am married so I wouldn't do that... LOL)

actually though, he's getting kind of old, isn't he? Hmmm.

Jessica - You're never too old or married to read the menu. :)

Tough one. So many choices. Think I want to be Christine in Phantom. To have someone sing to me like that would melt my heart! And to be loved by two men who fight for/over me! Whoa! And then again, could be Scarlett O'Hara. She's one gutsy woman!

Holly Golightly in Breakfast at Tiffany's.

Age is no obstacle. Pucker up, Daniel. :-)

Covering your heroine bases, hunh Donna? :D

Becca - There was one chick living life to the fullest. And LOL on the *pucker*.

Scarlett O'Hara in Gone With the Wind of course! She has all the emotions, all the fire and all the great costumes! I'd only want to play her, not BE her. She's the ultimate strong heroine. Love her, hate her or love to hate her!

My Vivian is named after the lovely woman who played her. :-)

I had to dig for this one Angie.
I would pick the lead from the 1996 movie The Long Kiss Goodnight with Geena Davis.
If you haven't seen it it is worth a rental.
The character was Samantha/Charley Baltimore.

This woman went from baking cookies to kicking major butt. It was a rare time when the woman was the hero and you believed it.

What can I say? In all my daydreams I am the hero. LOL.

Mandy - The ONLY choice for SSLs! (Strong Southern Ladies.) :)

Analisa - Fascinating! Makes me want to see that movie. Thanks. Go Butt-kicker!

DUMBO! ... then I could pay you a flying visit!

Jinksy - Were that it were true. I'd have Cajun fried peanuts awaitin'!

Hmmmm . . . Aragorn in The Lord of the Rings. Why? Because against all odds . . . he achieves his dreams. Who wouldn't want to do that? : )

Great question...there are so many choices! I think today, I'd like to be Lucy Honeychurch in the movie, A Room with a View. She has mad wit and wicked piano skills. And gets to go on fabulous trips!

I would have to choose Meryl Streep's character in "Out of Africa", Karen Blixen. What a life she led and she was a marvelous author and storyteller! Plus, I'd get to kiss Rober Redford back when he was still cute. Bonus Points. Here's that memorable line: If I know a song of Africa, does Africa know a song of me?

Hey, Angie. What about you? Inquiring minds want to know, what character and movie would you choose?

Like you say in your profile, "who has time for movies"? Have a fun weekend, sha!

Dorraine said...

Yes, Angie, do tell what yours would be!

Here's mine: Marilyn Monroe in Some Like It Hot. Since we're dreaming here, might as well do it up curvy!

Angie Ledbetter said...

Scott - Dream and it shall be!

I'm going to have to get that DVD, Stacy. It's been so long ago that I saw it, I can hardly remember it.

Elizabeth - Great movie/character! Hmmm, I don't know who I'd pick. Miss O'Hara in GWTW would be appealing, or Streep in Mama Mia (for the fantastic adventure and beauty of the location)...but then there are all those fab old divas and black and white movies and stars. :)

Same to ya, Marguerite!

Dorraine - Norma Jean's a great choice.

Liz Wilkey (a.k.a. A Mom on Spin) said...

The Great Gatsby and I - of course - would be Daisy to Redford's Tom.

Who needs Mia Farrow anyway???

Angie Ledbetter said...

AMoS - Great pick, Ms. Daisy. :)

No question...I'd be Sister Sarah (Jean Simmons) jetting of the Havana with Sky Masterson (Marlon Brando) in Guy's and Dolls. Or more up to date The Thomas Crown Affair with Rene Russo and Peirce Brosnan.

Shalom
Robin

There's so many to be. It's so hard!

Angie Ledbetter said...

Robin, both wonderful strong characters. :)

Shigune - True. Hard to pick just one. Thanks for visiting!

Char said...

Any movie opposite Kevin Kosner.

Sandra Leigh said...

Elizabeth Bennett in Pride and Prejudice. The one with Colin Firth, because you are right, Angie - You're never too old or married to read the menu. :)

vicki archer said...

Great question...and far too hard to choose only one movie. Today I am feeling like a trip to Rome so I think Audrey Hepburn in Roman Holiday...xv

Angie Ledbetter said...

Char, yeah, him or Dennis Quaid. *wink*

Sandra - great choice, and glad you agree about browsing the menu. :)

Hi Vicki, and thanks for dropping in! Both Hepburn ladies are on my favs list!

Great post idea! It would be Breakfast at Tiffany's and of course, I'd be Audrey Hepburn! :))
