Knotted Clocks

That picture is me and my ability to manipulate time lately. I'm a blog addict who can't get a healthy "fix." I despise feeling like a slacker, but simply don't have another choice right now. Today I've got my friend's funeral to attend, it's Senior Night at the baseball field (I'll be dressed in my son's green jersey because they're playing in their whites), and then I go to my Mom's to spend the night. [I don't want to be a prayer-begger, but any spare ones you got layin' around, feel free to throw 'em her way. Can't remember if I've said before, but she's mounted a saintly heroic battle with brain cancer over the past 18 months.]

In the good news category, Kimmi and Kat's (sounds like a TV sit com, doesn't it?) debut novels have been launched into the world and are gathering steam, and that makes me one happy camper!

So...what ties you up in knots?

Note to Suldawg: Thank you for the awesome blog award! I'll be posting it up tomorrow. It will look so nice with the tamer bling already shining from my sidebar. LOL

Sounds like you are really tied in knots now. What a heartache to have your mom dealing with brain cancer. I'm so sorry. Will be praying.

My heart and prayers go out to you daily for all the trial and tribulations you have been and are going through.

To be honest, I can't quite figure out how you post as often as you do. Or any of the other blogs I visit. All I can do to keep up reading, and often that is restricted to a select few during weeknights. Take good care of yourself, Gumbo Writer, and enjoy that baseball game! Someday we will hope we had such events to attend, so they say.

Hang in there Angie. Not a lot really ties me into knots. Maybe if I feel like I have not done enough to help the kids to perform their best. I will second guess this every time. Mom is being Mom.

Thank you, Jody, Becca & Melissa.

Literary Nut, I hope the "unwhined" is a typo. *smile*

Appreciate it, Terri & Slendy.

Suldog, you're a good friend.

Thanks bunches, Donna.

Midlife, the posting is easy because you can do it ahead of time and set it to post when you want it to. Enjoyed the Senior Game and we had great food too. :)

Thanks, Oren. Kids are lucky to have ya.

LOL, Jessica. I try to ignore that when I can.

westco, thanks for dropping by and hope you come back again soon. I love Scobberlotch's place. Can't wait to read her book! Thanks for the prayer power too.

Hi Angie

I'm glad I met you, via the blog interview thing. So sorry to read about your mom's battle. It reminded me of something a friend said to me recently. She's just stepped out of a year long battle with breast cancer (winning so far). She said the experience made her realise strength is over-rated, being flexible worked better long term. She said she also got tired of people admiring her strength, because sometimes she needed to be weak and needy.

Anyway... I'm adding my prayers for your mom, that she has both flexibility and strength.
