White Trash Mix
1 1/2 cups peanut butter
1 stick margarine
1/2 bag small pretzels
1 box Crispix cereal
2 1/2 cups powdered sugar
1 cup sweet chocolate chips
Fill a large freezer zippered plastic bag half full of cereal and pretzels. Melt peanut butter and chocolate chips together with margarine and mix well. Pour over cereal and pretzels in bag. Shake well. Add in powdered sugar and shake again. Voila!
For the best looking baby back ribs I've seen in a long long time, check out my brand spankin' new friend Mel's blog. We "met" via that wacky bloginterviewer.com place and are now voting for each other's blogs. The pictures of her food made me literally drool!
Thanks for understanding my inability to get around to your blogs as often as I'd like right now. Helping take care of my Mom and wranging my kids (middle son is about to graduate!) are about all I have time for. I miss y'all!

What a good job my store cupboard doesn't contain any of those ingredients! xxx
No complaints from this side of the street.
Oren
That looks so good!
Yum. I think I had that before, except it was called dog chow, or something.
You know we understand. We all find ourselves in similar predicaments occasionally. We are just sorry you are having such a hard time.
I love this mix and my kids have been after me to make it for a while. Maybe I will now!
This stuff is delicious!!!!!!!! We decorate it for the holidays with food coloring and crushed candy canes, and it's a huge hit : )
Hear ya, Jinksy! Oh, but the stores are so near. :)
Oren, think I'll bring some to the next Court of Honor.
It does, doesn't it, Lori?
Jessica, it is kinda like human kibbles & bits. LOL
Thanks, sweet Debbie. Now go make your brats some White Trash. (Well, you know what I mean!) hehe
KLo, thanks for stopping by! I will definitely try your additions on this recipe. Wonder if melted Andes mints would work instead of chocolate? hmmmmmmm
I like the milk chocolate version of the recipe. So good!
Yeah, we call it Puppy Chow! Sooooooooooooooo nummy.
*drools*
I loovvveee that stuff! I had a friend from Shreveport, though, who called it "puppy food." Don't know why, but my dog does try to eat it!
Love the sound of that recipe!
Also, hugs go out to you and your Mom.
I've made this before with my own daughter but love your name for is:)) It's ok you can't get around as much-- do what you have to do--- I'll still be here:))
Now I'm hungry, Ang. Darn it. ;-)
LOL at "White Trash Mix."
I so miss good BBQ. All the BBQ places here in NY are just okay. Nothing inspiring.
That stuff sounds GRRRRRRRRRREAT (pretend Tony The Tiger is saying it) (Which is kind of apropos for LSU, but I digress.)
Are those baby backs made from ....PETAL PUSS????????????
THat snack - wow! DANG! I can't talk - after eating about 40 lemon squares in 24 hours....ohhhhhhhh

Well it's a good thing I don't like those nuts 'n' bolts kind of snacks anyway.... wait now.. did you say chocolate? Dang!
I too am glad that at the moment my cupboard is bare of the essentials for this recipe or otherwise I'd have to rush downstairs and make some up. You're still in my thoughts and prayers!
Yes, I've heardthis called "puppy chow", but I like "white trash" better! :-)
It looks good and my son is a peanut butter aficionado. He'll love this!
This could convert the masses to appreciating the term white trash and elevate WT standing to new levels! The recipe looks delicious! Good luck with your son's graduation!
Tasty recipe. You have my best wishes for your mother's speedy recovery. And congrats on your son's graduation!
Jody, good both ways, for sure!
LOL, Janna & Lois Lane II (and thanks for stopping by!).
Appreciate it, Barbara & Terri.
Melissa, go get a treat. You deserve!
Wish you could take a trip here, Wendy. We'd fix ya up good. :)
Suldawg, you truly are a displaced honorary Cajun!
I don't believe you, Kat. You probably ate 2 and it just feels like 40. LOL Were they leftovers from the BOOK SIGNING?!
Oh my garsh, LL. Thank you! :)
Hilary, best of all worlds....crunch, sweet & salty!!
Thanks much, Literary Nut. URSweet.
Why, thanky, Colby. :)
JyLnC, lemme know if you fix him some, k?
TTWC, that's the goal. We're converting the ignorant, one recipe at a time. LOL
Thanks, Michelle/Surly Writer.
