Mother's Little Helper

Sorry about the missing Ledbetter Lunacy today, but I've been working on my manuscript, and helping out over at my parents'. I'm missing visiting your bloggy homes, but I promise I haven't forgotten about you! When things settle down, I'll be back on my regular rounds.

And in case you're worried about me not having much help with household chores from King Rufus, Queenie, Fresh Prince and Court Jester, my pup has been pitching in nicely. See him "folding clothes" with me today? Ahem.........

...after which he took a nice long snooze...in the family sock basket and not in his cute little puppy bed! Ah, it's a dog's life for sure.

First photo looks like he's in his own private space ship - have you been reading the nursery rhyme book to him- 'Two men in a basket', or 'Hey diddle diddle', for example?

Your new puppy is adorable!! I bet he is so nice to have around. We know you get to all of us when we need you so take your time and do what you gotta do!

That reminds me of how my cats help me fold the sheets. I fan the sheet out and the cats jump underneath waiting for the sheet to float gently down around them. Then they sit there and enjoy their new "home." Animals are so helpful!

Thanks, Vodka. Have a great Friday with the kidlets at school!

Rebecca, he's def a keeper.

Jinksy -- "Rub a dub dub, bad pup in the tub." :)

Thanks, Terri. :)

Debra, they're almost as helpful as teenagers, huh?

Aww, cute pics. What dryer setting works best for "puppy"?

That has to be the cutest thing I've ever seen. He's making sure those socks don't get lost...heehee...holdin'em down and all. I need to teach, Caesar my Shih-tzu, to be on sock patrol.

Mrs. Parks & Janna, he's my sweetie, even when he's nibbling at my ankles.

written -- I find "fluff" works best. :)

Ang, be glad Cesar doesn't like socks. I've found several pair out in the yard where he's hauled them through the doggie door.

What a cutie! He looks like my dog would if she went through the dryer. Ha!
We have that same bed but it is owned by our cats. I am pleased also to see that your sock basket is just as full as mine.
Have a good weekend!!!

Angie, I am dying for dog, absolutely dying. We hope to sell our house so we are waiting, but that face just melts me!

Seeing him in that basket made me smile. A nice start to the weekend!

Aww, he is a cutie! Watching dogs sleep is one of life's little pleasures, isn't it? Of course, if it were me, I'd probably start wondering what he was dreaming about, and before you know it, I'd be dashing off to write some story about a doggy dreamland :-)

That is perfect! Socks are my least favorite part of laundry. Okay, I hate it. He's the perfect excuse to NOT get it done! Can I borrow him for my sock basket?

Angie Ledbetter said...

Jane, you should see all the singlets lined up across the back of my couch! :)

Thanks, Melissa.

I so appreciate it (and you), Carrie.

Jessica, tis nice. Every small step toward the goal...

Suldog, he really is a smart guy too.

Get yew one, TTWC!

2nd, hope your weekend's great.

LOL, LC. It's all writing fodder, huh?

Astaryth, thanks.

Sure, Jaycee, but only for a day. :)

That is so cute. I have two cats and one of them is my "laundry kitty". She is always helping me hang them out or fold them. She comes running when she hears the creaking of the wicker basket.

When we give Ruffles a bath, we towel her off and let her run amok in the yard. You have a great way to dry the dog! (Kidding, of course.)

Cuz it's so warm and snuggley, and oohh so fresh, MA!

What a face!!!! Too cute. He looks awfully proud of himself in that dryer. What would we do without our doggies to make us smile?
