Friday, obviously. Especially a Magda free Friday, like yesterday.
What's yours?
Friday by far. It's filled with expectations.
Guess Saturday. Most are quiet, but throw in race days and LA festivals, and this gets out of control quick. Back to a real life now.
Oren
Bella, I know you're tired of hearing me say it, but if I were you, ALL my Fridays would be Magda-free! :) I like Saturdays (when they don't involve some school volunteer aspect) because I get caught up somewhat then.
So true, Lori.
Oren, I bet your Saturdays are never quiet, what with all the Eagle Scout projects, activities, and school race team stuff. (PS Hugs to you and the fam on the loss of your dad.)
Well, when I had a job, the weekend. Saturday especially. But now, being a sahm makes almost everyday the same. Though I guess I still like Saturdays 'cause there's no pre-k for the four year old, which means I can stay in my pjs longer. :-)
Saturday! And I can say that for the first time during my marriage, because my husband is finally off weekends. So no school, hubby home, *hopefully* sleeping in a little, yummy breakfast. Bliss.
Used to be Friday night -I'd get home from work, and know I had the entire weekend ahead of me! I had shows I loved to watch on fridays - it was so great!
But now that I don't work outside the house, the weekends aren't as "special" in that way. Hmmm - so, I think Sunday Mornings have become kind of that "this is when I can relax" times - GMR goes down and gets the paper (since they can't ever deliver a sunday paper here in our cove consistently!) and we have biscuits and watch Sunday Morning and I read the comics!
Saturday, no contest. Morning paper, coffee and computer in bed to start the day. It feels great to have the whole weekend ahead. We bath the dogs, do some grocery shopping, sometimes have a break at our favorite Starbucks. I especially love Saturdays now that my husband is home.
I'm a SAHM as well, so I agree with the others who said weekdays and weekends tend to feel more or less the same. That said, I love Friday nights because that's usually my date night at home with the hubby. We watch movies or late-night stand-up, and it's a lot of fun.
Still, I love Sunday mornings, too. We usually get up early and have a big breakfast before going to church, and then we get to be laaaaazy all afternoon. It's nice because it helps me recharge emotionally and spiritually for the new week.
Saturdays are my favorite. I'm free again until Monday. I can do what I want and enjoy the day. Sundays I usually crack down and do the wash and stuff that needs to be ready by Monday.

Sunday's my favorite. The world seems to stop somewhat. When I was a child we would sometimes go for a picnic lunch in the summer or to visit friends. Now that my husband and I are retired it's the day we go out for a big breakfast buffet and then come home to read the x-large Sunday newspaper. And perhaps, have visits from the family in the afternoon or go to a movie matinee.
Jessica, me love jammies!
That does sound like bliss, Janna!
Kathryn, ah, sounds like a most relaxed day in ye ol' mountain cabin.
Um, Linda & LC Grant, lemme guess...y'all aren't married to hunters, right? :)
Morgan, weekends seem to be everyone's fav. Not a weekday mentioned yet.
My favorite day AND time would have to be Friday at 4:00 p.m. This starts my weekend off and I hardly ever make plans...they seem to find me. I know for the next 2 days I can sleep late, stay up late, and just relax or catch-up on personal things. I usually try to fix a nice large breakfast (eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits and gravy on Saturday mornings. Not enough time to do that during the week and I love to cook.
Sunday mornings, while all in the house are still slepping. : )
I need to split mine. From Friday evening after work when all that is good is ahead of me... through Saturday morning when I get to sleep in a little but still get up before everyone else and have MY TIME with my coffee and a biscuit and the dog snuggled in a chair with me and my laptop.
After that, everything gets busy so the rest of Saturday doesn't count!
Ang, that sounds delicious! What a relaxing way to spend a day.
kimmi/Unbreakable, I love being the only critter stirring in the house too.
I guess we find our quiet and serenity in small pie wedges, Sharla. :)
Well, I'll go against the tide and say with all honesty, MONDAY! Specifically 8:00 AM!
My husband works Saturdays and has Sunday and Monday off from work. Since I'm a NMSDG (Non Martha Stewart Domestic Goddess),Monday is my favorite day because the stores, restaurants, and most activities are not busy on Mondays. Everything is a breeze on Monday. We shop, go out to eat, run errands, and even take mini road trips. :>)
That depends. During the 6 months of the year that I work at a job, it is the first day of the week that I am off. Usually that is Monday, sometimes Tuesday. For obvious reasons, such as that I am not having to go to work, and I can sleep late.
During the 6 months that I am not working, all the days are the same. Except the day that the unemployment check arrives in the mail, usually on Tuesday. For obvious reasons. I get money.
