Ledbetter Lunacy -- "Dad Does NOT Always Know Best"

TGIF, and hope it's a good one fer ya! Today's episode of family insanity has to do with the way children sometimes take what they hear very literally. [You'll understand by the time you see the last frame.]

So, without further ado, we'll crank up a little Cajun Zydeco music for today's edition. Can you hear the chank-a-chank, the whine of the fiddle and the wheeze of the accordion? Hope you enjoy today's...

~~LEDBETTER LUNACY~~

SO SO SORRY. THE LAST FRAME DIDN'T APPEAR FOR SOME REASON! NOT AN INTENTIONAL CLIFF HANGER. AS SOON AS I GET BACK HOME AND CAN ACCESS MY FILES, I'LL PUT IT BACK IN. GRRRRRR. GONNA KILL ME SOME CYBER MONKEYS! Here it is:

Angie -- stop by the tender graces blog later - you'll be interested in the little bitty contest I am having -- I hate to say, though, that you'll be disqualified from "entering" it *laugh*

I'm getting ready to post it in a few...I know you aren't around you 'puter right now, but later, come see :-)

Jinksy, giddy, Terri, Debbie, Kathryn, Lori, Janna, Melissa, y'all know I wouldn't leave ya hanging on purpose. The final frame was in place last night when I did my post draft before leaving for my mom's! LOL. But it would be a cleaver (and mean) idea to do it for return visitors.

LOL, Linda. Of course this would be my long day at Mom's. Also ended up watching my great-nephew (6 mo. old) and Dad had to run errands...so just getting home at 2:40!

Kathrynnnnnn, that was so sweet! Kat ran a contest on her new bloggy today featuring my book as the prize. GO SEE HER BLOG. HER BOOK IS IN PRODUCTION AND WILL BE AVAILABLE SOON. I SWEAR, YOU'LL THANK ME AFTER YOU READ IT!

JGH & Jill, see above statement of my innocence (in this instance). I hit myself twice in the head for you!

Thank you, Barbara. Glad to spread a few smiles around. :)

Hey, Kimmi. Hugs to ya back!

"My head is not harder than a brick!" That cracked me up hehe.

It reminded me of the time I was six and got my finger caught in the exercise bike. It was bleeding pretty good, and I remember bawling to the best of my ability. Dad came in (don't know where my Mom was)and immediately turned pale. I started to worry about him. I told him "Don't worry Dad. It's just blood." He hasn't lived that down yet!

My Dad has never been good around blood, but I'm fine with it (as long as it's not mine...)

Ms. B1tch is tired tired tired...(and very hungry said...

Oh! but children make Ms B full of the nerves when they get blood all over them, when they hurt their little selves ! Oh oh! oh!

Ms B is glad all is well now...yes?

Angie Ledbetter said...

Eric, loved your story of Dad & The Big Bad Bo-bo. :)

Yes ma'am, Ms. B. All's well with the busted haid all these years later.

That all's well is a relative term. I love your kids. You never know what is going to come out of their mouths.

I love this story, who couldn't laugh after that on, even if you were worried about the head. I am picturing King Rufus having to hear that from far away! Poor Queen Wench...that was not a fun day! You forgot "King Rufus laughed until he cried, Queen Wench cried until she laughed and they all lived happily ever laughter!!" I love this blog!
