The Floor is Open...Talk About You

What ya up to, bloggy buds? I've got a dentist appointment (eeek ewww) today to get a crown replaced, then more work on the manuscript.

So, if you were a squirrel, what kind of goodies are filling your food tray today? Hope whatever it is, it's good!

See y'all tomorrow, hopefully with a new edition of Lunacy to post.

My hoard of goodies are made up of some words collected from other's blogs today:-

Rabindranath Tagore - the poetry in this name is a feast on its own.

dog poo(doesn't deserve capital letters, as capital it is NOT) - hopefully it will make doggy lovers think of where they leave their calling cards.

Nufnuf and Tumtum - great names for two pigs in Holland, apparently.

Each of the above treasures were collected by my squirreling mind today.

Good morning, dear Brit lady friend. What time is it there? I left you a wee limerick on one of your featured topics today. I bet y'all can guess which one caught my eye. LOL

Ugh on the dentist. I woke up this morning after an awful dream that some fillings fell out! I no longer have dental insurance and need to go as I cracked a part off this week!!! Hence my nightmare and now I see a crown can be replaces--I had wondered if they get old.

I'm going to attempt some yoga moves--new DVD. They say it's suppose to be soothing. Good luck at the dentist.

*bleah* dentist....

Huh, that squirrel looks familiar! that looks like "lil bit" -- *laughing*...

Good Morning Angie!

(and love the names nufnuf and tumtum )

Terri, I grind my teeth sometimes at night, so maybe that's why it wore out. Do you do that too? eww.

Rebecca, that sounds industrious and relaxing. :)

Morning, Kathryn! Yep, that's your squirrel. Makes me wish I was "settin' on ya poe'ch."

Ah...tis the day of the dentist, I see. I am off to the dentist this morning as well, but just for a cleaning.

Another busy day at work will follow I'm sure.

I'm still trying to work up the courage (wisdom!) of going for my dreaded fasting blood test to re-test my cholesterol. Perhaps tomorrow.

8 hours at the "real job". Take an earnest check to the realtor during lunch. Go home to feed the bassets, the shih-tzu, the teenage boys and the hubby, then put my feet up with "Pride and Prejudice" and a hot cup of coffee. That should be enough for today.

Good luck at the dentist (*ugghh*).

I'll be thinking of you at the torture office, Linda. :) And good luck with that cholesterol thing.

Ang, your day sounds nice! Thanks for the good thoughts.

LOL, Jane.

Melissa, maybe your body's wanting some caffeine??

Good grief, giddy! How is that even possible? I think you have a clone!

Oh see now your post went and reminded me I need to make a dentist appointment. And I thought I was going have a day free of dentist thoughts!

Hey Angie! I'm trying to prepare the nursery for baby but this internet thing has kept me distracted even when I tell myself I'm done. BLAH. Dentists...hm....I'm so so about them.

Not much more going on here other than nesting. Good luck at your appt!

Ewwwwww..... the dentist.
Better you than me I guess.
I know, that isn't very nice is it.
But it's true.

Ugh, the dentist...you poor dear. The dentist, for me, is the most dreaded of all creatures...

Ah I think I have one of those appts. coming up soon. Maybe a little poking of the gums will distract me . . .

A tough week - my son, who has been on leave, is returning to Afghanistan in 2 days. Ugh! I'm trying to be strong, yet my insides are in a turmoil!

Other than that, I've become blog crazy. This computer is attached to my hip almost - Ha! Have a LOVELY day!!

Had a doctor's appointment today that really really reminded my how much I hated turning thirty.

Plan on taking the rest of the day off along with tomorrow. I'm getting ready to visit a friend in Savannah that I haven't seen in six months. Hope to have a great weekend.

And I hope everyone else does, too. :)

Nice new profile picture!
Today I have been a helper with my son's play all day (and back again tonight) and a pot of chili is cooking in the old crocker. Not bad.

Well, I don't know about a squirrel, but MY WIFE and I are going to the local steak house tonight and eating way too much red meat. As for the dentist, I hope your trip was as painless as possible. I visited mine today, for a consultation, and found out I'm looking at between $5,000 and $15,000 worth of work to repair my crummy choppers via implants or (less expensive, but not as good for someone who speaks for a living) dentures. Long story...

Angie Ledbetter said...

LOL, Karen, and that sounds yummy.

Oh, Rachel, I'm really sorry for that. My appointment went alright. Glad that's done for a long while!

Momma bird Christa, hope you have a lovely day feathering the nest for the baby bird.

Don't worry, Marilyn. I feel the same way when it's others who gotta go to that bad place. :)

Angie Ledbetter said...

Colby, you know you left yourself open for this with your comment...but there's only one thing I detest more than those evil furball critters you love, and that's a visit to the dentist! :)

You must be full of anxiety, Joy. I know I would be. I'll pray for your son's safety and a swift return.

Eric, hope you have a blast in Savanny! Safe travels.

I heart my crock pot too, Debbie. Saves me so many days.

Oh no, Suldawg! I (literally)feel your pain. LET THIS BE A REMINDER TO YOU LUCKY DNA RECIPIENTS OF GOOD TEETH...COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS!

Hope the dentist went okay! I've spent the day with migraine pain, and lots of bed time. May have to go back there soon, in fact...

I hate the dentist. It stems back to a traumatic experience I have buried in my subconscious. LOL I do not envy you.

I hope your dentist appointment went smoothly. I slept in this morning snuggled in my flannel sheets because it is FREEZING in the Chicago suburbs. I had a cup of hot tea to start with and then plenty of coffee while enjoying a lazy day.

Hope you're smiling pretty, and pain-free!

Evening, Angie. Today was spent on preparing taxes to give to accountant and also learning more about where my daughter will go to college this year.

And trying to stay warm, wrapping myself in flannels and fleece and DON'T you dare tell me you're running around in shorts! It minus 2* here ; )

Angie Ledbetter said...

Janna, I hate that for you! My crown is back in place in my mouth. (Why can't I have one on my head?) :) Hope you're all better by now.

Thank you, Kasie & JyLnC. Hope your day went well.

Carrie, don't know how pretty this smile will ever be, but at least I'm done with that chore for awhile.

kimmi, we were in shorts and barefoot two days ago, but got a cold snap now. Down into the low 30s tonight. brr

Was at least a three star day today, at least I didn't offend too many people today..I guess:) I do have a dental appt soon, I had two root canals in the early fall and have been hoping the crowns will hold for awhile, otherwise I am looking at about 1600.00 to replace them. I was blessed with bad teeth!
