Tagged Again!

For those who were expecting another episode of LEDBETTER LUNACY today, sorry 'bout dat. Due to unforeseen circumstances (chores, errands, others who had doctor appointments and such, and a general lack of time), the artiste was unable to extract the vision in her head and transfer it to paper.

Instead, blog-o-buds, I'll participate in the meme I was tagged for so I can get that out of the way. Ami is the culprit (umm, I mean, friend) who selected me as on of her pals to play along. Visit her site to see her answers and say hey!

You've lived your whole life in one place?? Wow!

I think you must be quite unusual to have lived your life in one town. Most Americans that I have talked to (I'm here on vacation in Florida) say they are originally from somewhere else, and have lived in more that two stated. Moving house seems to be a ritual that many people follow.

Only lived 2 places. Tuscaloosa AL and Baton Rouge. Now the snack list, not nearly enough room.
To Do List: Always the same. Work Eat Sleep Exercise Win State Championships. Check, Check, Check, Check and Check.
The money thing is easy. Take deadbeat biodads place and help out where necessary. Sore spot there.

Coffee? As a snack? If you are chewing the beans, then make sure they are decaf.

Sure have, Terri. My husband moved all over as a kid with a pipe line dad, but my roots are buried deep here. I love everything about the Big B.R.!

Sham, I think you're right. I am unusual (and in more ways than never having lived anywhere else). :)

Oren, I know you agree about what a blessing this place is in so many ways. And a big fat THANK YOU for filling the shoes of so many others who can't be bothered. A sad and growing epidemic. HooAhhh! to you. (PS....Oren is a personal hero, as is his wife. Both givers. Both awesome human beings.) :)

CristaCarol: it was a very cool profession. A woman has so many advantages...nobody suspects why you're gathering info. and just assume it's because you're an inquisitive person. :) I'll come comment on your tag participation. Glad you've joined this little corner of the blogosphere!

MLH, I really DO like the chocolate covered coffee beans, but only eat the rarely. As for the liquid kind........I'd rather not say how much of that I ingest in a day. :)

I considered going into the private investigation business very briefly, but then I read a list of "things to know before becoming a PI." What changed my mind? Not the potential danger, or the research, or anything like that. What turned me off was the fact that I like to sleep at night--and PIs don't get to keep regular hours.

OK. Jotted down a few things over on my blog. The list brought back some interesting memories.

Have a great weekend!!

ha! Finally made it back--life has been hectic... Hey! We are food sister! Yummers on the humus n' crackers and p'nut butter and apples!! :D

Isn't coffee one of the major food groups? :>) It should be if it isn't.

Written, not surprised. I just got back from your blog, and our career paths have been very very similar! And the weird hours (and lots of insurance scam work and staking out bars for divorce cases) is exactly why I quit. Too many young ones at home and a traveling husband did NOT make that a permanent option. But the courthouse research, etc. truly was fascinating.

Barbara, I enjoyed your list too! Have a great weekend yourself.

Kimmi, you ain't really surprised by our similar snackage preferences, are ya? :) PS...when's that book being released? Can't wait to get my order from Amazon!

JYLNC, I thought it was too! Maybe we can meet up one day and share "recipes" on that good nectar. :)

OOOH. A private investigator? I always played that as a child - even had an "office" on the farm with one of my dad's abandoned tractor cabs.

BTW, can I hire you? ;-)

Angie Ledbetter said...

Melissa, sure, if you don't mind working with someone whose licensure has lapsed. :)

Lori said...

TGIF to you too, doll. :))

Nice list. I'm with you on the hummus!

Angie Ledbetter said...

Lori, there are several Greek/Lebanese places nearby, so I get to enjoy it often. (Some good ones at the store now too. Mmm, roasted garlic and pine nut!) *drool*

Ami said...

Thanks for playing along! Loved your answers. And I love hummus and crackers, too!

Rachel Burton said...

Private investigator? Wow. Sounds like great material!

Angie Ledbetter said...

Ami, thanks, it was fun.

It really was fun, Rachel. Look into it if interested.

Jessica Nelson said...

Ooh, you were a PI? My heroine is one. Got any tips?
And wow, five years ago you were SUCH a busy lady. Whew.

Angie Ledbetter said...

Jessica, make sure she works for, or is an apprentice at, a larger agency vs. having her own biz. That way you'll get more opportunities and scenarios around which to craft your plot.

Yep, was busy then, busy now...it's just with older kids now. :)

PRIVATE INVESTIGATOR?!?! COOL!

You have lived a varied and interesting life!

Angie Ledbetter said...

Colby, just call me Gumbo Writer, PI. *snirk*

It seems so, Debbie. Never a dull minute here. :)
