Spotlight On...Let's Get Crazy!

*Note to readers. In the above notice, "were" should be "we're," but I'm powerless to edit it since I borrowed it from the Internet as is.* :)

Okay, I've confessed my love of wacky costumes, and you can plainly tell I have an abiding love of the slightly-off-kilter if you've read some of my Ledbetter Lunacy episodes or Politically Incorrect Kartoons...so it shouldn't surprise you one bit that I really like doing crazy things when the opportunity presents itself.

In case you ever get a similar itch that needs scratchin', here are a few ideas:

On your lunch break, sit in your parked car with your sunglasses on (the bigger, the better) and point a hair dryer at passing cars.

At work, if possible, or when shopping at a large store, have yourself paged over the intercom or P.A. system.

Every time someone asks you to do something, say, "One, two, buckle my shoe," or "Will that be dine in or carry out?"

Put Decaf in the coffee maker for a couple of weeks. Once everyone has gotten over their caffeine withdrawal and headaches, switch over to Espresso.

I'd love to hear some of your sanity saver tips!

Kat, just by normal boring folks. Not us. :)

Thanks, Terri. Love a good practical joke and spreading some fun.

I love the hairdryer one and, I'm hardpressed for family memebers to shop with because I'm ALWAYS having someone paged.

Marilyn, don't the teens love being called to the Information Desk? "Little Johnny, your mommy is waiting for you..." :)

Heehee- I've heard a couple of these before. They always make me smile. Particularly the hair dryer one :-)

Angie Ledbetter said...

Colby, I can see you doing that...with cop's cap and all.

I LOVE that you had to point out the "were" mistake because that's the first thing I saw in the picture, too! You can never shut off that internal editor... :)

we always had the teenagers paged once by their actual name. if they didn't respond, we'd use their embarrassing nicknames and make a REALLY big deal when they actually met us at the front desk.

i like the decaf idea....but working with a group who are collectively going through caffeine withdrawals might get ugly.

Add another one when someone asks you to do something. Reply either out loud or in your mind, "In Bed". Get some funny and startling looks.

Melissa, 'bout drove me crazy, but I decided to use it anyway. Yep, them internal editors can't be gagged sometimes.

LOL, Jill! *I think the coffee trick would be hilarious, even with the grumps.*

Oh, Oren, I see you've had YOUR coffee this morning! :)

In Detroit, if we point a hairdryer at a passing car, we're likely to get shot!

Angie Ledbetter said...

Oh, good point, Rick. Maybe you can do it in the hallway at work instead? :)

I once got an e-mail with tips, not the same, but SO funny! I love the hairdryer one. Cracked me up!

Jessica, your ID photo with the precious munchkin makes me smile. :)

I'm still going big with the come backs from 3rd grade, such as, "I know you are, but what am I?" and, "It takes one to know one."

Angie-who could possibly top the first one. Brilliant!

I love the blow dryer and the coffee tricks. Mean but ingenious. Thanks for the smile.

Carrie, I'm partial to the PeeWee Herman one too. :)

Smiling at ya, Bernthis.

JyLnC, any time!
