Tasty Tuesday ~~ Simply THE BEST Apple Pie Ever, Bar None

Just got back home from my Twins Out West trip with Alaine last night. Every second of our 1,319-mile journey was a blast! Got tons of photos, poem fodder, and some body/mind/soul rejuvenation to boot. Yeehaw!

The food, flavors, colors and sights of the Southwest were refreshing and music to the senses and nectar to the taste buds. Surprisingly, I've realized from Facebook comments, not everyone on the planet knows how to make the best apple pie, so I decided to share the secret recipe with bloggy friends who may be out of the loop~~~

Simply make or buy your favorite apple pie and cook according to directions. While it's hot from the oven, cut yourself a slice and smother the top of it with the sharpest cheddar cheese you can get your hands on! (No, processed cheese just will not do here.) Savor the heavenly taste combo!!

The kind 1900s-bank-turned-cafe' owner in Santa Rosa, New Mexico followed my instructions perfectly and deliciously. Proof's in the picture *smile*:

This is over the top good. Have had it before. Almost as good as white chocolate bread pudding.

I have been eating my apple pie this way forever! Taught to me by my dad many years ago...happy to have another person with great taste aboard!

This really is the best way to make apple pie! I keep telling hubs to make me a pear and gruyere pie like on Pushing Daisies. ;)

Glad you had a great trip, but it must be nice to be home.

Not as a pie, but have you ever tried blue cheese with green grapes?...The healthy option, perhaps! LOl ♥

Looks delicious. I'd like it better if it were right in front of me, for real.

There's nothing quite like a nice slice of apple pie and some really good cheddar, although I prefer my cheddar cold - bite of pie, bite of cheddar, bite of pie, bite of cheddar, etc.

Hmmmmmmm. I thought I commented on this before, but perhaps I just imagined it during some sort of drug-induced haze. Nevertheless, I love apple pie, and I do enjoy some good cheddar with it, but not melted on it. I prefer a bite of pie, a bite of cheddar, and so on.

Never thought about apple pie topped with cheese. Sounds yummy (I also can't resist cheese.) Millie and I did a cherry pie demonstration for 4-H. I'll take pie over cake any day!

BTW, I'm just now crawling out from under my rock, but want to share that I thoroughly enjoyed your R&T issue. Know it was a lot of work and want to thank you for the enjoyment it brought.

LSU won - wheeeee!
