Tasty Tuesday ~~ Something Spicy!





I've got a yummy recipe full of awesomeness and Rotel goodness today, straight from the brain of my twin sister Alaine. Enjoy!




















RO*TEL Roll-ups
2 cans crescent rolls
1 block softened cream cheese
1 can MILD or HOT RO*TEL
12 slices cooked bacon
6 slices cheddar cheese (halved)
1 tsp. onion powder
1 tsp. pureed garlic, salt & pepper to taste
 Preheat oven to 350°. Mix cream cheese, RO*TEL, and spices in small bowl. (Can fork-blend or use hand-mixer for creamier consistency). Unroll crescent roll dough on ungreased cookie sheet. Spoon one Tbs. mixture onto center of each crescent. Add crumbled piece of bacon, then top with half a cheese slice. Roll and bake according to can directions.

Sounds quite tasty indeed. I remembered just last year when I tried my hand at making ingredients for food, but as a moe creative approach, I made the foods up.

Sadly, I stopped doing said thing less than halfway through....

ol' twin-of-mine is holding out on y'all again. (she's famous for that--givin' up a little somethin', but keepin' the REALLY good stuff for her own self). them roll-ups is the worst of the 3 RO*TEL recipes. there's a shock&awe braed one, and......ta daaaa!--the RO*TEL bloody mary. didn't share that with her wonderful blawger friends, now did she? like i said, she aint all that good when ya really know her. stingy, but seems generous. tsk tsk. ya'll'l (yes, i KNOW that's a fine contraction all y'all yankees?)(and fyi: a yankee is anybody that don't live in the deep south. i'm sure if enough a y'all whine, greedy-gut'll post my coctail recipe.
and speakin of....what time ya think it's ok to have one? dang. it's 91-degrees already.
have a sweat-free kinda day, y'all!
ps: don't whine about the spice, yankees. just TRY it. sheesh.

dear midlife:
don't worry 'bout the calories-- juss drank a bloody mary with 'em. (the acid from the mix'll eat up the calories an trans-fat. the spice'll cure ya arthritis, too.)
