To Do List [Page 1 of 4]

Hello from your absentee Blogland friend! I've missed you terribly, but have been running 90-to-nothing trying to keep ahead of all the alligators snapping at my heels for the last month. Don't ask. At this point, with a kaput PC and various other troubles and woes, I'm more than ready for the new year to dawn...and hopefully it will be bringing better times with it.

How are you doing with your holiday preps? As you can see from page 1 of my own To Do list, I'm wayyyyyyyy behind this year. All my plans to shop ahead by supporting online vendors, artisans and artists mostly got sidetracked. And for the first time *ever* I didn't even put up a Christmas tree or decorations. (Wahhhhh!)

Anywho, as soon as I dig out from under life's avalanche, I'll be back on regular rotations here in Blogaritaville. Until then, don't forget about me, k?   ;)

Now...what's the biggest item on YOUR current to do list?

So glad to see you here this morning. I suggest you take shaving your legs off the list until it's warm enough for shorts (or is it where you are?). Sending you hugs and love.

Good to "see" you too Deb. I've taken the shaving off the list so many months now...I'm afraid a weed eater will be needed soon. :)

Wow, that's a large list to whittle down. Glad to see you stopped in for a bit. Cross off "Yard Work" on the list and wish for snow.

Missed you! :-) Hugs!

Missing Angie, glad you are muddling your way back to us. The waters look deep from here reading your list!

Praying for you.

Wow, that's a long list. My biggest to-do this week is to wrap gifts. :)

Welcome back, ol' absent blogging friend!

The last item was scratched off my to-do list on Saturday afternoon. Woo-hoo! No more lists until the start of the year when I do the final run through of my MS and start the querying process on February 1, 2010!!!

Have a great Christmas!

I took care of a couple of those things for you, just minutes ago. Oh wait, wait. Shave YOUR legs? I guess not, then...

My biggest things happened yesterday: The children's Christmas program at church (hubby and me filled the role in charge this year, and I wrote/"produced" the thing), and my husband's family's Christmas at my house. *whew* Now I've just got one more school party, two school concerts, and the rest of the week is smooth sailing and fun and family. I'm so glad and thankful.

Sending you the merriest Christmas wishes and blessings! Take it one step at a time, Ang, and it'll work out wonderfully.

Welcome back, cher! I was beginning to worry about you! Although your list looks a bit like mine, at least my computer is working! Forget the emails, blogging, yard work, and shaving the legs, until after Christmas, and give gift certificates! You are in my thoughts and prayers. Have a Joyeaux Noel!

I'm glad you stopped by, Angie, and I wish you a very Happy Winter Solstice. May the return of the light signal happier times for you - and some well-deserved rest, too!

MY WIFE and I are mostly done with prep. Biggest thing left is to pick up a turkey breast and makings for dressing (I promised to cook part of the Christmas dinner for my Grandma's. Oops! I guess the cooking is the biggest thing, actually, but I consider that fun.)

Just about to email you and see where you were 'cuz I've missed ya!

Got oldest son and granddaughters visiting and having a blast!! Been cooking and eating and of course running the dishwasher in overtime! They will be leaving Christmas eve to head back home to MA where the snow is piled high with frigid temps! Oh how much I love Florida!!

Wishing you bunches of holiday cheer! See ya around real soon!

What, no tree? I can't tease you about it in July???

I need to wrap presents still. Go shopping for Christmas food. That's it. :-)

I hope you catch up soon. God gave you teens for a reason, just remember that. *wink*

I appreciate the prayer power Tamika. :)

Scobberlotcher - Looks like you've got it all under control. Hooah!

Thanks Scott. Hope you have a wonderful and merry Christmas. And best of luck with querying in 2010!

Janna - thanks for the encouragement. :) Hope the rest of your holiday is grand.

Marguerite - A tres joyeaux noel to you also friend! Thanks for the good thoughts & prayers, sha.

Ditto to you Sandra. :)

Suldog - Cooking can be so therapeutic when you're not in a hurry. Best to you and THE WIFE this holiday season.

Oh Donna, you're having a wonderful family Christmas. Yay! Take some time to rest after the last person leaves...and enjoy those leftovers. :) You still looking for crawfish?

Angie Ledbetter said...

LOL Jessica. No, no tree still up in July this year...for once. Wishing you a holly jolly Christmas!

Welcome back, Angie! I've missed you! My "to-do" list is a little shorter now that the semester is over, but I supposed the biggest rocks are "write proposal for visiting professorship" and "write proposal for U of Iowa Press"

Ditto Deb. Scratch off all unnecessary things i.e. shaving legs.

ChristaCarol Jones said...

Wait, you shave your legs in the winter? ;)

Haha, oh wait, I'm a great big echo (just skimmed through the comments). I feel your pain though with that long ass list! Not far behind ya.

To do before Christmas: finish shopping, finish wrapping, bake cookies, get groceries for Cmas Day, work on edits, clean out my car, pay bills...with what money I'm not sure, lol!

Have a good Christmas, Angie!

Deb said...

Good luck with your list. I still haven't baked and I usually have a full freezer by now. I don't think it's going to happen in a big way this year... :D

You are not alone!!

Thinking of you!

At least you don't have "shovel snow" on that list! ;)

((hugs)) Merry Christmas!

Cooking and eating. Then cooking some more. Then laying down for a nap. The same nap I've been wanting since Nov.

Happy Holidays!

Just checking in on you to be sure all is well. It's a busy time and I promise you won't be forgotten!

Mandy said...

Shave legs? That is actually on the top of my to do list for 2010 as well. Husband is tired of the furry winter coat. LOL! I hope you're doing okay and that the family is well and healthy! Hopefully you had a nice relaxing Christmas holiday. May the coming year bring you wonderful surprises and many moments of joy!
