Friday Foibles ~~ Festive Neighbors

Before we get to our weekly foible, which will hopefully diminish any bad omens hanging over this Friday the 13th, thanks to all of you who hopped over to agent Rachelle Gardner's blog yesterday and left such kind comments on my guest post. You rock!

@@@

Now, please don't fuss because I'm "rushing the season." I just wanted you to have an early heads up in case you're stuck for fresh ideas for decorating your house/lawn for the upcoming holiday season.

The display below might just be one of the best ideas I've ever seen...and it made me smile like a lunatic!

It's beginning to look a lot like...

Priceless! I've got show this to my hubby.

You did a great job on your post with Rachelle.

I got that one by email too...last night I went to my friend Glenn's and yep he had the Christmas lights on! His Christmas tree up!
All I can say is OMG.

Ditto (LOL) Rebecca...except maybe when they're your own kids; then not so much. :)

No problem, VM. At this point in my life, only a day late would be nice. *snort*

Karen & Amy - Same for me. Well, I'd think of it, but hubby might kill me or have a stroke. :D

Thanks Anita.

Aww Tamika, 'preciate you. Thanks for your kind comments at Rachel's yesterday too. (All of y'all!)

Lucia - An early bird, eh? Not that I can talk -- I leave my tree up sometimes till...well, the hot months. :D Thanks for visiting!

Wow. that's . . .bright. I have to say, I love driving through neighborhoods with lots of lights, but I don't know how I'd feel living in one.

Firday the 13th is a GOOD LUCK day, not a bad luck day -- unless you choose to make it such.

Enjoy.

That is funny. Unfortunately, I am too cheap to even run that kind of electricity to decorate the outside of the house. My kids always beg, but I weave and dodge and metion how "they" get enough of my money already, bah humbug! :O)

Tana said...

OMG to funny! I'll think of that all day and laugh.

That is hilarious!! Ditto. :)

I missed Rachelle's blog yesterday, so I'm going over there and checking it out!

Have a great weekend!

Devon - We've got a few lights in our hood, but not that blind or annoy ya. And I agree on the 13th being any kind of day you want it to be. Not superstitious at all. :)

I hear that Diane!

T. Anne - That makes me happy. Yay!

Jill - Thanks, and you have a grand weekend too. :D

Haha you rock! One day my house will look that cool at Christmas. I have the poor version ;)

I love clever! That's too funny. Dang, I wish I lived next to the Griswalds. And double dang, I missed yesterday. Heading over..

That's sooo funny. Too bad neither of my neighbors decorate their lawns or I'd be all over that. :)

Angie Ledbetter said...

ChristaCarol, Deb & Kasie - I REALLY want to do it too. Hubby would divorce me, but it's just so tempting. :P

Hard to sleep with all that lighting going on, eh?

But really purty to look at :)

Jinksy said...

Too much light pollution ! A sky full of moon and stars is enough for me, and doesn't burn electricity, either. :)

Deb Shucka said...

Tis the season. Mr. Ditto saved himself enough money to buy several six packs I'll bet.

Angie Ledbetter said...

Marisa - Yeah, real purty!

Jinksy - True. No better, lovlier show on earth.

Deb - LOL, not to mention price break on the lights he did use. And all those hours of hard work. Loved your post yesterday!

Oh Angie! My sweet, beloved cat has been very sick this week. He died yesterday. I'm so sorry I didn't get over to see your guest blog post. I'll head over tomorrow.

And I need a ditto one.

See you after unplug week.

Almost makes me wish I had overly-showy neighbours. ;)
