Running Behind Again

I've been AWOL from Bloggerville lately, and didn't have time to post yesterday, so you know things are crazy in my world with family stuff, getting the fall issue of Rose & Thorn ready, school meetings, house cleaning, cooking, blah blah blah. I think yesterday was the first time in a year and three weeks I've missed posting daily!

I'm remedying that today by doing some blog hopping to catch up on what's been going on with y'all. If you haven't entered the new book title contest, check out Monday's post and give it a whirl. There are some great entries already (50+ of 'em!), and they're fun to read even if you don't want to enter one of your own.

So...what's been sucking up all your free time of late?

Sleep. I don't know if it is because of the cooler weather. I woke up to a crisp 43 degrees here in the east. But I have wanted to just curl up on the couch and sleep. I have forced myself to get up and there was a time when I was diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome...I had mono when I was in highschool which is where CFS comes from. I just hate it when my energy gets zapped.

Ooooo, really?! We gotta meet up. You coming for the LA Book Festival?? Let's make a plan.

Analisa, rest is good when the body & mind need/want it. Of coure, I'm a coffeeholic, so that helps. I'm ready for some cooler weather here.

I saw first snow on the side of the highway yesterday. We were on the way to the tire store to have new winter tires put on. How's that for timing!

Deb Shucka said...

I don't know how you do all that you do. It's okay to take a break once in a while. :-)

Deb Shucka said...

P.S. I love your new picture. It speaks volumes in a really gorgeous way.

Strange Fiction - Really great timing! Can't imagine snow on the ground. Short sleeves, bare footed and A/C on. :)

Deb, breaks are just kinda mandatory for me right now. And thanks for the nice words on my pic. (eww...hate photos of me.)

Free time? Is there such a thing?

A flat tire sucked the free time I didn't know I had up today.

Hope life gets calmer for you!

Angie Ledbetter said...

Eileen - I sneak free time in small slices whenever I can.

Hope that time-stealing flat tire helped keep you out of harm's way a little further down the road.

You're allowed to go a day without posting, Ang!

Hi Angie-
Thank you for stopping by my blog. It sounds like you have lots of big things in life you are juggling, which can make blogging helpful or hard, I suppose. Hard to get too some days and helpful as an outlet. Oh, boy, I think I am talking about myself! Lol...
Sucking up my free time...trying to make some big business decisions.
Bless your Mom and you.
Stephanie

I was wondering where you were. LOL Thought I just missed the post.
Have fun catching up!

Angie Ledbetter said...

Melissa, thanks. I guess since I made my year, I don't feel the compulsion...or either I'm just worn out. LOL

Stephanie - Blogging is a great venting therapy, plus it counts as writing in my book. :D Thanks for the well wishes, and I'll be praying for you to get clearcut directions on your career decisions!

LOL Jessica. I should be skinny as fast as I've been running lately!

Housework is a time sucker upper. But, it has to be done!

Hospitals, home-school, cleaning house(yech), and other assorted time-zappers have taken me away from my WRITING. I have done a little, but I need to get back to it. I plan on doing this on the weekend. And hey, you're allowed some down time from the blog. Why don't you unplug for at least half a week when we do unplug week? Anyway, we miss ya when you're gone. And I'm hoping to enter the contest if I can on Saturday. :)

Oh and I keep forgetting to mention your new pick. Gorgeous! :0)

Well, now, I don't see why you don't have more time....whew, I'm tired just reading your schedule!

My time-- work, elderly parents, writing, pulling mushrooms out of my backyard so my dog won't eat them and checking out everyones blog!! :)

Edits edits edits edits edits. That is all.

Hope life slows down a little for you.

Thank you for the Jeanne Robertson link!! LOL!!

Hope you get a chance to slow down soon!

My time's been busy with errands for my husband. He's kicking his home business up a notch, and I've been helping with footwork.

Glad you found time to come back.
I don't know how you accomplish all
that you do. I must be in the "jeans". =)

Practice and home. That just about covers it.

Omg Angie, I totally understand and hear ya, girl-friend! Just relax and take time to smell the roses, sha! :)

Elizabeth - yeah, unfortunately, housework and chores won't do themselves. (bleh)

You're a busy bee, Robyn! Hope you get to spend time with your writing this weekend. Thanks for the compliment on the pic.

Karen - take your vitamins. I know they help me.

I hope to get to my ms revisions SOON, Wendy. Swift editing to you.

Cheffie - SO glad you enjoyed that video. It made me laugh a lot. :)

Thanks Janna. Hoping your joint biz efforts pay off for the whole family in lots of ways.

Hugs back, Kat.

LOL, Char. Yeah...must be the "jeans."

Oren - Those two things are more than enough to do in a day. :D

Thanks Marguerite. I'm trying!

I'm running behind, too - so far behind that I apparently missed Monday's post. I've looked at the lovely pictures now, and I'll try to come up with a title - but not tonight. My eyes are growing heavy. Heavier.

Rest up, Sweetie. You need to look after yourself.

My time sucker has been editing. Which I really love, so I haven't minded. Although, I think my husband is getting tired of hastily thrown together meals that never turn out quite right. I tell him that's because I'm too busy trying to get the end of my novel to turn out just right.

Michelle D. Argyle said...

My time suck has been finishing my rewrite! I finished tonight which is why I've had to come over here!

Never worry about spending your time with family and work first!

Laura Martone said...

Hi, Angie! Everybody needs a little rest now and again, so no worries about the blog. I understand how time-consuming it can be, believe me!

What have I been up to this week? Well, lotsa things... the biggest being that I've been trying to start a book proposal that's due in a week, but my muse is being ornery. Don't you just hate that?

Angie Ledbetter said...

Sandra, when you rest up, come on back and take a stab at the title contest. :)

B.J. - Hope the editing is going easy for you.

Congrats on the progress, Lady G. Loved your post on the important things in life (with the beautiful bridge photo) yesterday. Thanks!

Laura - Best of luck with that muse wrangling and book proposal. :)
