Friday Foibles ~~ Speeling is Reely Impotent

Remember when your parents and teachers told you over and over how vital it was that you learn to spell correctly?

Well...they just  might've been right.....

Oh yes, the importance of spelling! I was writing an email to a guy friend and I said that when he was in town we could go for a beer or six.

Or at least I meant to say six but I used an e instead of an i.

Oh, how terrible! Is that for real?

LOL Barb! Hopefully he knew it wasn't a Freudian slip.

Lori - I think it's a real photo. :)

Because I once saw an official notice from the misspelled Public Schools of North Carolina, I tell my students not even to rely on spell-check -- pubic is a word, too!

LOL....uh oh, I could read Jensky's note!

Hey, I guess spelling matters only if you read. :0

Is he referring to himself(lol)? If he can't spell a word as common(slang even) as that, I dread to see how his blog entry or essay would be like.

Now there's someone who needs to be out of the gene pool in a big way!

Laugh out loud funny! Thank you for sharing, Angie!

Maybe his last name is "Morans" and he was just letting you know that the "Get a Brain" sign was his?

Funny! Brought back a memory. A friend of mine told me one of her associates that did publications for transportation dept in her state had 'pubic' rather than 'public' on a very slick document that was published. Funny what a typo will do.

But the sign - "MORANS" - makes ya wanna go 'hmmmmm'....
