Hello on this fine Tuesday. Hope life's treating you well. Big thanks to all who've entered the book title contest, put the link at your blog and/or Tweeted about it!
This is gonna be the hardest contest yet to judge. Hilary at The Smitten Image shared instructions on how to do a blind judging, so I might just do that, making y'all responsible for picking the winner. (If you're in need of a free virtual vacation, cruise by Hilary's place and soak up her awesome photography!)
Word wranglers of all kinds might be interested in these links ~~
- Poets and prose crafters alike will enjoy this review of a subject that regularly confuses many of us -- "Hyphens, Em Dashes, Ellipses—Oh My!" by friend and word master Harvey Stanbrough.
- If you're looking for an online class, this article link sent to me by Amber Johnson might be your cup of tea. (I don't know anything about the biz listing these resources, but the information says they are all accredited colleges.) Check out "50 Awesome Open Courses for Web Writers."
- And finally, if you're interested in browsing some writing contests, there's always a great listing at Writers & Poets.

Thanks kindly for the linkage, Angie. Much appreciated. Good luck with the contest. You had some fine entries from which to choose. I'll be away for a few days but I'll check out the results when I get back. Thanks again for linking to my blog and for your always-kind words. :)
Time. That's my biggest problem. There's never enough of it.

Thanks for the links! I'm not sure how I kick start anything. I think about things a lot before I begin. Maybe that's how. :)
Hilary, hope it's a pleasure trip, and that it's lots of fun!
Lynnette - Hearrr yaaaaaa, Sistuh!
My pleasure, Lady G., and "Mulling the fodder"......sounds like a possible future post title. LOL
Thanks for the links. I need to finish my revisions so I can start writing again.
I couldn't believe how good some of the entries for the contest were! So many of you guys are just really imaginative and smart.
Thanks for the links. :-)
Thanks Angie for the resources. Love it!
Ooo, thanks for all the great links!
my advice to myself? Just be brave and JUMP. There is nothing to lose.
I also force myself to write everyday. No matter WHAT it is.
Yes, thanks for the links. I am currently writing like a mad woman, who knows how long that will last.
I think finding a job. Now, with a part-time one, my creative mind is reeling. Figures.
Harvey's blog has become one of my favorites. Thanks for the list of classes - a perfect thing for me right now.
Fear, I know it doesn't sound inspiring...but I wonder if I am getting lazy. I make myself ignore everything and sit down and get it done.
Someone famous once said, stop talking about writing and write. The thing is I love talking/reading about it. :)
Thanks for the fine linkage, sha! Great contest! Since it is festival season, again, I would have to say that festivals kick start my writing, my life, and my brain. :)
Hi Angie-
I found you via Jody Hedlund's blog and am so glad I did.
My writing goals to finish my first foray into publishing, a memoir about my personal journey of loving and losing. But I realize you have to crawl before you walk, etc so a short story published or essay would be an accomplishment in the meantime!
I really enjoyed this post and am glad to have found you!
Stephanie
When I have a project, just get something on paper and then work on polishing it until I get tired of looking at it. This works for this non-writer.

Great links, but all I really need today is the big pan of brownies I just baked. Yum, yum. Wish I could share one with you!
Life is so good here. Cooler temps and no humidity. I think of you and wish you were here:)
Thanks for all the great comments, y'all. Welcome new visitors and followers too! Glad to meet ya. :D
I found Judy Reeves' A Writer's Book of Days while unpacking (more) boxes. If I have trouble thinking of something to write about, I just turn to the prompt of the day...
Hi Angie, do you think it is a good idea to do a course in writing? I mean, specialized of course. Cause many a times, there are so many thoughts which come and go, and some worth writing about.
Is it a good thing to re-start your writing all over again by joining a course is my main question?
