Wish You Were Here!

This is where I am sitting today, or at the nearby table, working on my neglected manuscript. In a place as nice as this, revisions don't seem so grueling. There is lots of good visiting going on and great food Trudy and I made to bring with us. I truly am blessed to have such a wonderful daughter, and generous caring friends. The laughter and fun comes over me in waves, and it's refreshing!

And if I get tired of working, I refill my coffee mug with Community Coffee's Cafe' Special, and look out at the gorgeous scenery. There isn't a big crowd here because it's the end of the season, so it's pretty tranquil. There is parasailing and dolphin watching tours going on right below us. I wish you all a Friday (and weekend) as beautiful as this:

wish I was too! Nice spot for a bit of writing.

How bout I just pretend I'm there too, surrounded by all that, and write something clever? How bout that?

Let's see...

It was a sunny and beautiful day and the gentle wind was blowing...
zzzzzzzzzzzzzz...

Maybe I should just stick around her and write.

I'd actually have trouble writing there...I'd want to be down on that beach!! Well, maybe down there in a chair with a cold drink and my toes in the water...with a pen and notebook in my hand...I could write then. :)

What is that structure in the picture, Angie? A boardwalk? A pier?

Beautiful! Now if that doesn't inspire the creativity, I have no idea what would!

I'm SOOOOOOOOO jealous. Okay, that's just proof that as a writer it is IMPERATIVE that when I do retire, I retire somewhere like that. How can a writer write anywhere else?

I could be inspire to write in this tranquil setting and I'm not even a writer. :>)

Thank you all my lovely sweet bloggy friends! I haven't been to the Orange Beach/Gulf Shores area of Alabama in years. So glad to see Katrina didn't do her nasty work here, or if she did, it's all cleaned up now. Weather's been gorgeous, and I've had a hard time writing with all the fun and beach stuff and pool/hot tub and and and and .......right here!

Note to Suldog - that structure is the boardwalk from the condo down to the beach. :)
