Writing Quiz

Okay, it's Monday, and that means it's time to ingest your java or favorite beverage, and fire up the brain cells for a little quiz.

Today's testing is all about what kind of writer you would make according to your answers to the five questions found here.

If you're a mom, I hope your day was as nice as mine yesterday. Thanks for all the well wishes on the Mother's Day post!

So...to what type of writing are you best suited?

Well, not too surprising, I guess:

"You Should Be A Poet
You craft words well, in creative and unexpected ways.
And you have a great talent for evoking beautiful imagery...
Or describing the most intense heartbreak ever.
You're already naturally a poet, even if you've never written a poem."

That was neat, Angie- made me think!
:)

A Film Writer

You don't just create compelling stories, you see them as clearly as a movie in your mind.
You have a knack for details and dialogue. You can really make a character come to life.
Chances are, you enjoy creating all types of stories. The joy is in the storytelling.
And nothing would please you more than millions of people seeing your story on the big screen!

Well, my hubby is an actor....

I should be a Film writer. Never thought of doing that before. I'm not photogenic...

"You should be a romance novelist." That doesn't surprise me a bit since that's how I started out! I've slowly moved toward more mainstream, but I always have a love story in my books. :-)

RedBird, isn't it funny how some of these quizzes are dead on, and others are just total fluff? Glad this one got you right. Did I tell you how much I enjoyed your poem yesterday?

"You can really make a character come to life." Lady G, now that's something to be proud of!

Michelle, it all goes back to that high school musical/play. :)

There ya go, Melissa!

"You see the world as it should be, and this goes double for all matters of the heart.
You can find the romance in any situation, and you would make a talented romance story writer...
And while you may be a traditional romantic, you're just as likely to be drawn to quirky or dark love stories.
As long as it deals with infatuation, heartbreak, and soulmates - you could write it."

So I really like the talented romance author bit. LOL!

It says I should be a film writer. Well, OK, but I'm used to, like, pens and paper. How do you write with film?

Film Writer. Yep, that's me.

Well... Even though I said i like humor and post zany rants on my blog, it told me I should be a romance writer!
I love to read it, but am SO NOT into writing it!
Make mine humor any day!

Terri, thanks, day was nice with Mom, and also here with my gang. Ya might need to retake the test. Maybe one answer was off a bit?

LOL, Suldawg. It's that big personality of yours......just right for entertaining on the big screen!

Mel, maybe there's a cooking show or movie in your future. :)

Jeanette, I guess the quiz picked up your reading preferences, hunh?

A song writer for me. : D I like it!!

A joke writer.

That's unfortunate, because I can barely tell an existing joke without messing it up.

. . . unless they meant "joke writer" as in the opposite of "real writer" . . .

B.J. Anderson said...

A joke writer. Hmmm. Didn't see that one coming.

Angie Ledbetter said...

Glad you had fun, Jill K.

Kimmi, combining poetry and a story to form music. Songs for all us little Birdies. :)

LOL, Amie. Maybe the quiz picked up on your general joi de vivre.

BJ, these quizzes are fun and good for making us think of the possibilities more than actually giving scientific results. :)

Hmmm. I'm supposed to be a film writer. I think I'll take the quiz again and try for 'novelist winner of the Nobel Prize for Literature'. Was that one of the categories?

Angie Ledbetter said...

Now, Sandra, you made me laugh out loud. If it's not a category, it should be. :)

A poet. That fits, and makes me happy. It sure seems like a lot of potential film writers read your blog!
