You Might Be A Redneck...

Just wanted to make sure y'all know I'm an equal opportunity insulting cartoon displayer! I've given the blondes a few bad days, so now it's time for some good ol' fashioned Red Neck bashin'. [Dontcha love the way that rhymes?]

Since I've enjoyed visiting Cake Wrecks which Melissa recommended, I want to share some wedding cake photos a friend forwarded. *Thanks, Marion* Be sure to let me know if you have a favorite.

Before I unveil the nuptial delicacies, let me just say any of the three cakes could've been mine. The first one even has my and my DH's (Deer Hunter) initials correct, except for his middle name!

So, with a little Cajun Cowboy yell, off we go ---- Aaaieeeeeeee!

I'm confused. What is funny?
I did truly enjoy the sign and can see us posting a very similar one before our little princess gets hitched. Unless she's marrying a family member and then that would just be rude.

Oh my. I live in rural N. Florida and wouldn't be surprised if these cakes are from this area. Camo clothing is extremely popular around here. I have not one piece of it!

Nothing says "romance" like decapitated deer heads.

Wow! Look at those cakes. Who knew red went so well with camo?

Whew--glad those aren't for any wedding I have to attend!Gave up deer meat thirty years ago!

Yeah, Jinksy. LOL

Debbie, I've set up an Elopement fund for Queenie, so hopefully won't have to worry about such things. :)

Hear ya, Beverlydru. I've been to weddings here where people wore cammo, and to a funeral that mourners attended on 4-wheelers. I kid you not.

El.Oh.El, Wendy.

Janna, was news to me too until I watched a few episodes of My Big Fat Redneck Wedding on CMT. :)

I guess I don't have to worry about you stealing my DH then, Terri.

LOVE Cake Wrecks! Today's post is hilarous. You'll have to go check it out.

I think the last cake is beautiful. Not sure it's good for a wedding, but y'know, why not?

Why don't they have these at my bakery?

OMG, I'm SO from New York! These cakes are akin to someone speaking in Chinese to me - it's a totally different language! I have to say, though, Mr. & Mrs. Deer on the last cake are quite a lovely couple. I wish them happiness and long life. L'Chaim!

LOL! Love this... Since I live in N. Florida I see my fare share of Redknecks. Still, I actually think that last cake is sort of pretty. ;p

Oh Loward!
I think I'm glad I'm white trash and not redneck.
Not near as many dead animals to hang on the wall.

Hey Angie... thanks for stopping by. Appreciate the comment. I'm on sort of a hiatus from posting lately but hope to get motivated again soon!

I have been thinking about highlighting the cake wreck blog. It is pure genius.

Haha hilarious! My hubby's groom cake was a football stadium!

Melissa, I enjoy Cake Wrecks too now, so thanks for pointing the way.

Maybe they're special order, Amy? :)

You're welcome, Carrie.

LOL, Debra!

Astaryth, we see a lot of this type here. Our license plates proclaim Louisiana as "Sportsmen's Paradise."

Nannette, whut? hehe

Made me laugh, Mrs. Parks!

Marsha, enjoyed the stop over. When you get blogging again, I'll come back by.

LOL, Stacy. I'm enjoying your novel blog.

2nd Cup (Linda), I couldn't agree more.

Colby, were you at least a plastic cheerleader on his cake?
