Howz You're Grammer?

I know it's Monday morning and you probably haven't had your full ration of caffeine yet, or it's the afternoon and your brain is smoking, but take this quick 10-question quiz anyway. It's a real eye-opener on sentence structure, word usage and general grammar.

How'd ya do?

A friendly reminder ~~~

Great quiz. I was only right on six of the ten questions. Yikes! Love the "friendly reminder"!

LOL! That was the hardest quiz ever for me. Honestly, how did I ever make it this far as I writer? LOL! I only got 3/10! LOLOL! Now you know, never trust my judgement on grammar!

I consider myself a pro with grammar, but the first question made my head nearly explode! Maybe I'll visit the quiz again after I've had coffee...

Oh, my gosh! I only got 6 out of 10 correct!!!

Something nasty in the woodshed, here. I can only see the first question, which simply highlights the superiority of women, anway. May continue to search for the other nine questions, but may decide to go away and do something more constructive instead!

4/10 I should have done better on the quiz, but I goofed and put c instead of b because of where the letter and underlined word was placed. Oh well.

Found the other questions and was horrified to only get 5 correct, though in one of the others I'd misread what was written on the screen! Doh!

My Grammer's fine, thanks. She was 102 this past December.

LOL I LOVE it. So funny.

I love that! I would never have been that clever, sadly.

Did anyone else feel like that quiz was super hard? I managed to get 7/10, but it made my brain hurt. Since I majored in English in undergrad, I would've felt bad about myself if I didn't get at least half of them right. I wonder how the 11th graders scored?

Linda, it was kinda fun, huh?

Jenni, that's what editors is fer, rite? :)

The choices coming after the sentence sections threw me too, Janna.

Barbara, I missed one myself. Made me feel like a nut when I read the answer. ;)

Yeah, it was harder to grasp set out like that, Michelle.

Yay, Jinksy! You found the quiz.

LOL, Suldog....AND HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!

Jessica & Debbie, glad ya enjoyed.

LC, they probably do okay since all the rules are fresher in their minds, and especially if they take the ACT Prep. :)

I'm too old for this. I need to go back to school. Actually I'm too old for that too. I had to think to hard to get 7 right.

Six out of ten. And one of them was a total bonehead moment. Others I was like, THE WHOLE SENTENCE STINKS! so wasn't sure what to mark. ;-)

7/10 - but like everybody else, I had trouble with the format. Also, I okayed a sentence that was written in the passive voice, and apparently the passive voice is taboo now. Surely we have the passive voice for a reason. Foul, I say! ;>)

Well, I managed 8/10. Though I got the first one right, I couldn't tell you why...just instinct or a good guess. It was fun!

Whew! I feel better. I was afraid to take the quiz because as a teacher and a writer it seems I should know this stuff. I guess I still do.

So, what's next, Angie? Math?

blueviolet, old age ain't purty, is it? :)

Hear ya, Melissa.

LOL, Sandra Leigh.

Embee, glad you enjoyed that little exercise. The rest of us were sweating!

Oh, heavens forbid, Deb! Miz Angie don't do no maff!
