Friendly Reminder
Did you remember to "Spring Forward" with your clock? Just what we all need, huh? More lost time.
Are you "fer or agin" the whole Daylight Savings Time thing, or would you rather we went back to being on nature's timing?
Thanks, blog pals, for all the great comments, wishes and suggestions for my temporary request for removal from the game yesterday. I stole a quick nap and got to spend time with my youngest son (Court Jester) last night, so I'm feeling better today!
About moving the hands of the clock around in spring and fall ~~ have you ever forgotten and arrived late somewhere or had some other bad experience?
I'll leave you today with an expert's opinion on the subject, so until tomorrow, I hope you get to spend at least a little time today pursuing something that fills your soul! ...............

I'd rather nature's clock to be honest. Why fix it if it isn't broken?
Love the cartoon! Glad you're feeling better, Angie. We all have those hiccups in life - we just need to hold our breath until they go away. I'm glad yours are gone for now. When they come back (and they will) just remember to hold your breath again. ;-)
My biological clock had changed 2 weeks ago, so I was really looking forward to physically changing the clocks to match. Yes, I am weird. Don't remind me.
I read an article that Daylight Savings Time is actually detrimental to a person's health. Hmm...
Me too on dat, Horrible Sanity.
Debra, thanks. I'll try that...and just hope I don't pass out. LOL
You're always ahead of your time, Michelle. Yeah, DST probably messes with our internal ebb and flow systems.
In the same vein as forgetting to turn the clocks back/forward and arriving somewhere at the wrong time:
When I was a kid, we were Catholic so had to go to church for our "Holy Days of Obligation". On a Thursday morning Mom got us all dressed to go to church for Ascension, and unfortuntely it was Assumption and we were there a day early. She made us go to school anyway and had to explain to the nuns why we were late, as well as why we were wearing our "Sunday Best" and not our school uniforms.
Nature's timing? What's that? LOL
Forgot to do our clocks and skipped church.
I wish we'd just stay on Daylight Savings Time always.
Going natural timewise is my vote. We alter so many others things in our lives, why do we have to tinker with time? Let time alone and it will age gracefully (right along with us)!
This advice got me worried for a moment - then I realised UK has its own equinox date - 20th March!
I love daylight savings time..I am a "light" person, so I'm always much more motivated during this time of the year
I actually like having the extra daylight and look forward to Spring. When it gets dark so early it seems gloomy.
Thanks for taking time to stop by my blog. My hometown is Baton Rouge. Born and raised, but lived 15 years in the New Orleans area right before I moved to the Memphis area. I miss home!!
I like Daylight Savings Time. It's Standard Time I'd like to skip. Why can't we have DST all year?
I skipped the Spring Forward step by moving into Arizona yesterday. They don't do DST in Arizona, so I didn't have to set my clocks forward. In a couple of days, we'll be moving on to California and my "home time", Pacific DST - which is the same time as Arizona's standard. Still no clocks to set - and I planned the whole thing (not!).
I love it. It's another sign of spring/summer... I'm in!
I like daylight savings time... at least I do on every day after the day it starts. :)
Don't like changing clocks. It took me all these years to decide it, but no. I'd much rather take time as it comes. Does it change a single thing about our economy or our energy usage? We still have to get up at 6 (now 7) and the lights go on then instead of in the evening.
Nope. Makes no sense.
LOL, Cat'lic here too, Karen. Loved your story! Poor Mom & kids. :)
Jessica, I always get confused the day of the switch because the electronic and cell phone clocks say one thing, and all the appliance and battery & car clocks another.
Does the switch get your kids all discombobulated too, Carrie?
Joy, beautifully said. Sounds like a poem stanza!
LOL, Jinksy.
Colby, I thought cats were nocturnal!? ;)
Hope you get back to visit, DonnaP. But at least you have good music and BBQ there.
Sandra, glad you've got control of your own clocks. :)
True, Hilary, but here it's been spring for months already.
Jenn, hear ya.
No sense at all, Lori.
