My day yesterday did not go as planned. My hopes for the spanking new year were smashed to smithereens. If that old saying about what you do on New Year's Day is what you'll do the whole rest of the year, then my big fat bahonkus is in deep doo-doo.
But, maybe it's just a test to see if I'll be thrown off my plans and resolutions for writing in 2009. If so, "Nanner nanner, boo boo," to the cosmic forces that be who thought pulling this funny would run me away from my goals. I'm only more determined now, since I'm getting a day later start than I'd planned! Ha! I remember those old Emergency Broadcast System announcements of, "This is only a test!"
All that said, check back by later today for a late breaking edition of Ledbetter Lunacy in which I will render my special "drawerings" of yesterday's events. Sorry to leave you hanging, but I don't want to spoil the story. Hoping each of you got to spend the first day of 2009 doing exactly what you wanted to do and had planned. If not, remember that tomorrow is another day!

Lawd! I can't wait! If what I did yesterday is what i'll do all year - oops! For I did NOTHING much at all - researched titles (AGAIN!) for the novel, sat on my butt and ate all kinds of food, had a mimosa with b'fast -- visited with Cyn and Craig....watched football, went to bed early.
*Bouncing in chair with excitement* Yay! Another episode of the Ledbetter Lunacy! I love this show. Maybe it will go on dvd so I can watch previous scenes I missed.
Hope things turn out all right at your end. Hugs!
Looking forward to the story, which once told will most certainly undo any power the badness had to begin with.
Now I'll be checking your blog all day long to see the latest edition of Ledbetter Lunacy! (BTW, is Ledbetter a pretty common name? I ask because there are lots of Ledbetter families in my western Nebraska hometown).
Oh man! Sorry about yesterday. I'll check out your drawings later :-) You're pretty funny.
Mz. Kat, sounds divine! Hug 'em for me, please.
Thank you, Michelle, but no DVDs planned. (You can catch "reruns" by clicking on the post tags over to the right.)
Ooo, Deb, I like dat!
Melissa, the name's not too common down here, but maybe there's lots of 'em and they just don't claim each other? :)
Thanks, Jessica. All better now.
What happened? Can't wait!
