I'm finally getting to visit my friend Kathryn up at her mountain paradise! You'll recognize her from faithful comments here and from her always interesting blog posts http://kathrynmagendie.spaces.live.com/blog/ , at our Year of Gratitude blog http://barbaraquinnyearofgratitude.blogspot.com/ , and for The Rose & Thorn's blog http://roseandthornreviews.blogspot.com/ . Yeah, that's a whole lotta bloggin' goin' on, but all great reads.
And lest you think I'm dropping in on a bloggy cyber friend out of the blue, have no fear. Kat and I have been friends in real life for several years now. She used to live here in the Big B.R., but moved to find paradise on her mountain. *sniff*
Anyhoo, I'll have full reportage and pics when I return. Until then, what's your dream vacation? Price and obstacles do not exist.

Have fun with your friend! The picture reminds me of home in PA! Can't wait to hear about your trip so take lots of pictures!
YES! That photo was taken from the car (you can see my reflection in the car window!) ....that is on Soco Road and we pass it all the time - not far from my place. I love this setting and if I didn't live on a mountain, this is my second place I'd love to be - sometimes horses are grazing - I love the black barn they have --this setting made it into a story, terri!
Nice little farm land there :0)
The picture is beautiful! I'd move there in a second. Have fun on you trip.
Gorgeous picture! Looks like an ideal spot to me. And the mountain sounds wonderful - hubby and I dream about someday having a vacation home (even if a small cabin) in the Rockies.
You ladies have a wonderful time!
Wonderful, Angie! So glad you're getting a nice vacation. You deserve it!
I just went on my dream vacation! :-)
Have a wonderful trip. Your photos are gorgeous.
How pretty. Beats the view out my window any day.
I was blessed to have a father who worked for the airlines, so got to travel extensively (but not expensively) when I was younger. As a result, there aren't a lot of places I'm itching to go. Most of the time, I like just relaxing at home, or somewhat near to home.
I'll give a nice mushy answer. My dream vacation is anywhere MY WIFE happens to also be.
Looks gorgeous! My husband and I have been using our childles years to travel as much as possible. We've managed to cover a lot of Europe and are starting to look at Central and South America. But if money (and safety!) were no object? I'd really want to travel through Africa and do a long safari or hiking expedition through some remote part of the continent. (I've hiked a bit in the Peruvian jungle, and it was awesome, though I never got around to the Inca trail) Oh, and the Far East. Okay fine, I want to see it all!
Have a great time. I will try to keep PW in line till you get back.

Love it that your computer is named Forest! "Mama always said..."
My husband, Brian, loved the name of your computer (he's a Computer Tech/Network Analyst). We would love to go to Tuscany. I watch "Under the Tuscan Sky" everytime it comes on TV and dream of buying a home like the one in the movie (with much less renovations to do) and live out my life there. That would be a dream come true.
Enjoy your vacation!
Ang
Thanks for the visit!
My dream vacation would be Paris with a side trip to Italy. ;)
Camera's clicking as fast as it can, Terri. Will post when i get home and back to normal. Yuck.
Kathryn is the hostest with the mostest, y'all! The scenery is secondary to visiting with her. WheeeeeeeeeeHaaaaaaaaaaa!!
Thanks so much, Domestic. The real life version is so much more beautiful. Like they say in the postcards...wish y'all were here.
Will visit all your blogs when I get home. Till then, hugs & smooches.
Janna, seeing the renovations in progress at your house, I know you hard workers will have that vacation home one day soon!
Melissa, I thought about you being sick in England when I had a queasy stomach coming here. Not to worry, though, it was just flight anxiety. Got over that as soon as I touched down again. LOL
Thanks, Mz. Aucoin. (Great Cajun name ya got!) I love your icon ID pic.
LOL, Wendy. I bet you felt this wonderful freedom when you were in Salem, huh?
Oh, good answer, Mr. Suldog! (This disqualifies you for an upcoming contest I'm posting here.);) Oh, and I know you can be happy anywhere from reading your blog. A bra fitting with THE WIFE proves it. heheeeeeeeee
Rachel, the world is truly your oyster. Get ta shuckin'!
Oren, let me know if I need to send you a money order. LOL (And tell Cathy she was right. This place is unbeatable!)
Waving at ya, Mandy. Forest must be enjoying his vacation away from my typing/pounding too. :)
I'm enjoying your blog.
Oooh, Ang, I hope you get to Tuscany, even if just for a visit.
d, can I join ya on that double dipping trip? Sounds wonderful.
Wow, what a spot!
If I could, I'd be in London and then in somewhere deep in the countryside.
Tut-tut, that does sound like a great vacation. Cheerio!
